Dana is a mother of three amazing kids. Two of them suffer from multiple food allergies. Of course, diagnosing and adapting to a completely new lifestyle wasn’t easy at first. It took her and her family a while to understand and live the new transformation.
As a mother of kids with life-threatening food allergies, Dana found herself suddenly thrown into this world I knew nothing about. Like any mother in her situation, she spent every possible minute she could spare doing research and learning all she possibly can about this unexpected detour in her life. She became obsessed with everything related to food allergies and this obsession soon turned into a passion.
In 2016, and after realizing that she shares her fate with many families in Jordan, and in the world, she decided to take her knowledge about food allergies to the next level. She became a certified Food Allergy Coach. she received this certification through AllerCoach™, the first International food allergy management training and certification program for coaches and consultants. She has also attended international online webinars and courses acquiring certifications on managing food allergies and anaphylaxis.
Knowing that food allergies are on the rise; more than 220 million people around the world suffer from food allergies, and because she understands the struggles that people and families face in everyday life, Dana has started an awareness support group Kids with food allergies in Jordan on social media, and in May 2017 launched the first awareness campaign in Jordan joining the worldwide movement #TurnItTeal where multiple landmarks in Jordan were lit up in teal in support of allergy awareness.
Later on, during 2017, she started her own consulting and training company, AllerLiving; which offers food allergy coaching and training programs for individuals, families (with the focus on children), schools, restaurants, health care services and other organizations.
