Once I read the story about a mom who delivered her baby in the car while her first pregnancy was induced, I had this question, I am pregnant (6th month) and this is my fourth child, and all previous deliveries were hard and induced, and now the doctor chose to deliver me by a c -section and I am not totally up to i, is there a chance I can have a natural childbirth without induction? kindly note that I have a narrow hip space, and usually I don't feel any pain until the end of my pregnancies,

"Thank you for this.  I would answer as follows:

Every labour is different! Just because your previous experiences weren’t good doesn’t have to mean it will be the same this time!  Has your doctor given you a medical reason for scheduling a C Section?

I think it would be really beneficial for you to take some Hypnobirthing classes.  The techniques that you would learn could help build your confidence, giving you techniques to deal with your fears. Fear can have a very negative effect on the birth process, causing the natural flow of the hormone oxytocin which is responsible for the contraction of the uterus to stop, hence slowing labour... .

Surround yourself with positivity, think happy thoughts about your new baby and know that you CAN do this.  Confidence and positivity really are the key!

Know also that there is no right or wrong way to birth your baby, you want to look back at your birth knowing that you were part of it! Speak to your doctor about your desires for a natural birth. Get information.  Wonderful resources to back up your arguments can be found on www.thecochranelibrary.com

I wish you all the best and hope you have the birth you so desire."
