Ingredients
1 pack fettuccine pasta (I used dried and cooked it according to package directions) 1 cup fresh sliced mushrooms 1 Tbsp olive oil For Alfredo sauce: 1 pack (8 oz or 227 grams) cream cheese, feel free to use light if you like 1 stick butter (100 grams) 2 tsp garlic powder 2 1/2 cups milk 2/3 cup Parmesan cheese 1/2 tsp freshly cracked pepper
Method
- In a wide pan, cook mushrooms in olive oil until they give out their juices and become tender. In a sauce pan, melt butter over low med heat, add cream cheese in chunks and stir until all is melted and creamy.
- Add garlic powder, milk and cheese.
- Stir until it comes to a boil and becomes nice, a bit thick and creamy. To make the pasta, pour the sauce over mushrooms then your cooked pasta.
- Serve and sprinkle with black pepper and shaved Parmesan cheese. To accompany this dish, you can make garlic bread.
