Ingredients
- ½ Cup Medjool dates, chopped
- ¾ Cup Almond Milk
- ½ tsp. Baking Soda
- ½ Cup Brown Sugar
- ½ tsp. Cinnamon Powder
- ¾ Cup All-purpose Flour (you can use Gluten Free Flour)
- ¼ tsp. Salt
- ½ Cup Canola Oil
Ingredients for the Sauce
- 1 Cup Brown Sugar
- ½ Cup Canola Oil
- ¾ Cup Coconut cream
- 1 tsp. Vanilla
Method
- Preheat Oven to 190 degrees C, grease the cake pan or bowl with non-sticky spray or Oil. Then Set Aside
- Add the dates and almond milk then cook for 2 min, remove from heat and add the baking soda then set aside
- Mix the Oil with brown sugar until you get a light creamy mixture
- Add the dates mix and fold gently
- Bake for 30-40 min maximum
- Once done, remove from heat and let it cool. Meanwhile prepare the sauce
Sauce:
- Heat the brown sugar and Oil and mix until well combined. Boil for 1 min
- Take off heat and add the cream.
- Add Salt and Vanilla and Mix well
