Ingredients
- ½ kg kunafa/filo dough, shredded
- ½ cup butter, melted
For the filling:
- Mozzarella cheese Cream
- For garnish: Pistachio, chopped
- Simple syrup (1 ¾ cups white sugar + 1 cup water)
Method
- Preheat the oven to 200°C.
- Mix Knafeh dough with the butter.
- Grease cupcake pan lightly with butter.
- Place half of the knafeh mixture in each cup of the pan and press it with your fingers (or with a cup) to cover the bottom and sides of pan.
- Distribute the filling in each knafeh cup. Layer the mozzarella first then a layer of cream
- Place the cupcake pan in the oven for about 17-20 minutes until golden brown.
- Remove pan from the oven and flip it down on a serving dish.
- Distribute syrup on knafeh and garnish with chopped pistachios
