Samira Hajjar

Samira Hajjar is a certified play therapist. Her academic credentials include a Master’s degree in Clinical Social Work with Families, Youth and Children from Columbia University in the City of New York. She also holds The New York State License (LMSW)

Additionally, Samira holds an Advanced Certificate in Play Therapy from Brooklyn College in New York and a Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Development and Education

Her career included work in a variety of clinical and educational settings starting in 2008. These include Jordan River Foundation – Amman, Kingsbridge Heights Community Center – Bronx, SCO Family of Services – Brooklyn, The Ahliyyah School for Girls and Bishops School for Boys – Amman, and Princess Taghreed Institute - Amman

Her skills include child development and parenting, child mental health and protection, complex trauma, psychosocial support, as well as facilitating school-based intervention and prevention programs
