Jumana Bashiti

Jumana is first and foremost a new mother of a baby boy and is a U.S. Registered Dietitian. She earned her Bachelor of Science (BSc.) in Nutrition and Dietetics-Coordinated Program (CP) with Distinction from the American University of Beirut (AUB) in 2014.

Upon moving back to Jordan, Jumana joined the multidisciplinary team of experts at Gastrointestinal, Bariatric, and Metabolic Center (GBMC) and established the Nutrition Department. She found her passion working in the field of obesity, redefining the way patients with obesity are assessed and managed.

Over the years, Jumana built a solid network among doctors from various specialties and receives referrals for cases including diabetes, kidney disease, gastrointestinal disorders, bariatric surgery, pediatrics, pregnancy and lactation.

Jumana is equally passionate about education; she worked as a consultant speaker for Johnson & Johnson’s educational institute giving lectures and training courses locally and internationally to dietitians, nurses and bariatric surgeons.
